Garrett’s School of Driving began a partnership with Origami Rehabilitation in 2026 to expand access to driver education for students in West Michigan who require adaptive driving equipment.
Students who are under 18 in the Kalamazoo and Allegan areas can now complete the classroom requirements with Garrett’s School of Driving and then continue with adaptive behind-the-wheel instruction through Origami Rehabilitation. This streamlined approach keeps most of the process close to home while minimizing travel for families.
Before registering, families will need to contact Origami Rehabilitation to schedule an evaluation. The evaluation determines a student’s readiness to safely participate in driver education and identifies any necessary adaptive accommodations.
